90 days old Eurasian Griffon Vulture chick

It's a girl!!! The beautiful Eurasian Griffon Vulture chick of the Zoo of Duisburg is female!!!
Today it was the first time I saw the vulture-girl some metres next to the nest, playing with vulture-mommy on some branches. Her feathers are growing so fast that the zookeeper had to cut her feather for the first time on Thursday.
The cute girl is exploring her enclosure every day, going to the carcass with her vulture-parents and eating big rats on her own!
The two separated vultures were jumping around their pool and drinking some water.
Vulture-daddy was hiding very well while sleeping in the grass. Seems he his very tired and weak from rasing his chick and he is very, very old. Hope he will get better soon for the next breeding season!
