45 days old Eurasian Griffon Vulture chick

Unblievable, what a huge ball of feathers was waiting for me in the Zoo of Duisburg. The 45 days old Eurasian Griffon Vulture chick is almost looking like an adult vulture!!!
Curious Marabous having fun watching the zoo keeper putting new soil into the big holes in the ground next to the vultures nest, made by porcupines.
With his light-brown feathers the chick is well-camouflaged inside the nest.
Wonderful wings with long feathers.
Still weak-kneed and soooo funny!!! The chick just tries to stand on his feet when pooing outside the nest.
Otherwise it prefers sitting on his fluffy bottom.
Oh, what a cute feathered vulture ball....
When visiting the separated vultures they were both sitting on their own trunk.
Back at the vultures nest daddy-vulture was caring for the chick.
Empty crop, but the chick did not seem to be very hungry...
Giving vulture-daddy a soft Father's Day kiss!!!
See how impressed vulture-daddy is when looking at the amazing wingspan of his chick.
